Your Own Media(YOM) delivers products and services that let you manage
and create your multimedia life in your local environment using our
online tools.
Philosophy
In
the beginning.... there
was your
PC, and it was good, but a little lonely. Then came the
Internet,
and it was also good, but a little slow. That is, until we
got broadband. Now we have the world at our fingertips.
But
with all that content comes the challenge of doing something useful
with it. YOM gives you tools to craft your media around your
lifestyle.
By
making our tools available online, usually for free, we want you to
take what you need and use them all you like, but by letting them run
locally on your PC, we ensure your content stays just that, your own.
Unlike some, ahem, others,
- We'll never ask you to upload your
video or audio files in order to use our products.
- We'll
never scan, index, or search your media to then pass on to 3rd parties.
Any interaction with your multimedia stays on YOUR machine.
In short, YOU
own your content, we just help you do some cool stuff with it.
